About the course

This online course is targeted at Kenyan HCPs with a particular interest in diabetes to provide patient-centered care. The course has a total of 17 modules exploring various topics ranging from prevention and management, pharmacologic therapies, complications, and the role of nurses in delivering diabetes care. 


Each module consists of 10 pre-tests and 10 post-test questions in a multiple-choice format and an educational video having case studies and practical clinical-based examples on the delivery of diabetes care.

The content of this course has been developed by the Kenya Diabetes Study Group faculty.

On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a course completion e-Certificate and get CPD points.

This course serves as a pilot program to address the current gap in the delivery of diabetes training that has currently been occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. We seek to progress on to a fully digitized online learning platform to ensure widespread dissemination of diabetes knowledge to all cadres of healthcare professionals countrywide involved in diabetes healthcare delivery.
