Heart Failure CME Series

Introduction

Heart failure is a long-term debilitating condition, affecting around 1-2% of the world’s general adult population. Its prevalence is rising due to an increase in its risk factors, most notably an increased population life expectancy. Heart failure is a result of any structural or functional cardiac disorder that leads to inadequate blood flow to vital organs such as the kidneys and congestion in other vital organs such as the lungs. Effective treatment can improve symptoms and outcome but there are wide variations in the management of heart failure across the world today. This CME series is designed to provide all HCPs with treatment and support strategies by use of evidence-based medicine to aid in diagnosis and management of common heart failure conditions often presenting as clinical dilemmas.
